I'm a writer, editor, higher-ed professional, and book author with more than 20 years of experience working with top media outlets, universities and non-profits. My journalism has won awards from institutions including the American Society of Travel Writers and the Society for Features Journalism, and my articles have been anthologized in multiple editions of The Best Food Writing. I currently write and edit for multiple media and non-profit organizations, ghostwrite books and op-eds for executives, and work as Head of Alumni Affairs at the City University of New York’s Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism. My past jobs have included Travel Editor at Food & Wine, Food Editor at O, the Oprah Magazine, and adjunct journalism instructor at CUNY and NYU. My memoir, Jasmine and Fire: A Bittersweet Year in Beirut, was published by Penguin Random House.
